About
I’m a Senior Research Engineer at Microsoft Research Cambridge (opens in new tab), where I apply machine learning to scientific problems such as drug design (opens in new tab). I joined Microsoft through the AI Residency programme in 2020, and split my residency between improving the data density of holographic data storage (opens in new tab), developing probabilistic models for missing data (opens in new tab), and reinforcement learning for an optimising compiler (opens in new tab). I have Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Neuroscience from Imperial College London. Before working at Microsoft I was an all-purpose algorithm developer/tech lead working in multidisciplinary contract R&D.
