About
I am the manager of Engineering Foundation Group in Microsoft Research Asia. The research engineer, technical program manager and user experience team I lead is mainly responsible for building a shared foundation for the entire lab to speed up innovation in all areas. In the era of Large Language Models (LLM), the strength of a team’s engineering foundational abilities becomes even more crucial. My team has taken on the mission of addressing key challenges in data-centric engineering, transforming design, constructing and making research foundation system smarter, safer and more energy efficient.
I started my career a SOA solution developer at IBM 15+ years ago, and then became engineer lead of IBM Rational product. With 8 years of IBM developer experience, I transferred my role to technical program manager in Microsoft Skype for Business, Microsoft Office365, Hulu Recommendation and later Microsoft Business AI.
I enjoy my exploration of the emerging technologies and will continue to explore more emerging AI technologies in the future.
On a personal note, I graduated from USTC (University of Science and Technology of China) for bachelor in Computer Science, and ISCAS (Institute of Software Chinese Academy of Sciences) for master in Computer Science as well.
