My research interests are in resource efficient alt-SGD ML methods inspired by biological learning. The applied research group I lead aims to democratize AI by addressing issues of sustainability, robustness, scalability, and efficiency in ML. Our group has applied ML to address social issues such as countering human trafficing and to energy grid stabilizations.
