He is particularly interested in issues related to efficient provenance tracking, discovery, quality evaluation, and long term preservation of data generated from scientific workflows. The overarching goal of his research is to build scalable information systems that effectively manage data end-to-end in distributed collaboratory environments to support knowledge discovery.
