Give with Bing is a feature of Microsoft Rewards that enables you to support a cause you care about simply by searching on Bing.

It starts by signing up for Microsoft Rewards, our loyalty program. After joining, points earned for Bing searches will be automatically donated to your selected cause. Give with Bing is currently available in US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Microsoft Rewards is an easy, fun, and simple way to earn points through Microsoft products and services. Points can be redeemed for nonprofit donations, gift cards, sweepstakes entries and more.

Microsoft Rewards members who start giving with Bing will retain their current Rewards points. You can view your balance any time in your Rewards account. Moving forward, points earned on Bing will be donated to your cause, and they’ll be tracked on Bing.

To adjust your Give with Bing settings, visit give.bing.com.

Once Give with Bing is enabled you can select the cause you want to support from a list of over 1 million non-profit organizations in the US at give.bing.com. Currently you can designate one organization at a time.

You can updated your cause as often as you like at give.bing.com. Click on 'change nonprofit' and search for a new nonprofit. Please note that all points will be donated to the last nonprofit you select prior to final day of the month.

Donations will be distributed to non-profits roughly six weeks after the month end of when the points were donated. Microsoft Rewards will send you an email detailing your monthly impact even though the actual donation may lag. For example, members will receive an April monthly activity statement in early May and the donation will be paid to the designated non-profit in mid-June. Your Give with Bing balance will reset to zero when the donation is made and you can start earning points again at the start of the new month. You can also visit give.bing.com to see your total contributions.

Microsoft works with a third party to offer an extensive list of more than 1 million registered US charities. A third party also evaluates the eligibility of each organization.

While giving with Bing, only the Microsoft Rewards points earned searching on Bing will be donated to your designated organization. To donate points earned doing other activities, redeem those points for additional donations on the Microsoft Rewards redeem page.

Donations are distributed to nonprofits at the end of each month, and Microsoft Rewards will send an email detailing your monthly impact. Your Give with Bing balance will reset to zero once the donation is made and you can start earning points again at the start of the new month. You can also visit give.bing.com to see your total contributions.

No, currently you cannot earn Microsoft Rewards points with your work account. Sign in and use Give with Bing with a personal Microsoft account.

Contributions to nonprofit organizations that are undeliverable will be given to a nonprofit of Microsoft’s choosing on your behalf. This could happen if the nonprofit no longer meets the participation criteria.

Simply go to give.bing.com and toggle the Give Mode switch. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to opt out of Give Mode.

The Rewards dashboard is available at rewards.microsoft.com. We are working on making it easier to access the dashboard in Give with Bing.

The dashboard activities that result in a Bing search count towards your Give with Bing balance. This includes the daily sets, quizzes and polls.

Level 2 is an automatic benefit of Give with Bing.

Donations are made by Microsoft via a donor advised fund and are not tax deductible by you.

Microsoft Rewards works with a third party, Benevity, to source the list of registered nonprofits in the US and disburse the payments to the nonprofits. Once your cause is incorporated into the Benevity database, it will be added to the Give with Bing directory. To add your cause to the Benevity directory, go to https://causes.benevity.org/. There you can claim your profile, and provide additional details to have your cause added to their list.

If a charity has not yet signed up for electronic donation payments with Benevity, a manual check will be mailed to them if they are based in Canada or the United States. Disbursements via check are made when total donations to a given cause (across all of Benevity’s client companies/partners) reaches $100 USD. Once the $100 threshold is reached, the full amount is disbursed to the recipient organization. If the total donation amount to a charity fails to reach this threshold, they get paid out annually.
