180Solutions.Zango.Grab&Burn is a CD burning program that bundles adware called 180Solutions.SearchAssistant.
180Solutions.SearchAssistant monitors your current Web browsing activities to determine which pop-up advertisements to display. Once installed, 180Solutions.SearchAssistant runs in the background. Some versions of 180Solutions.SearchAssistant display an icon in the notification area while running.
To display targeted pop-up advertisements, 180Solutions.SearchAssistant monitors words on the Web page or in the Web address that you are currently viewing. If these words match the 180Solutions.SearchAssistant keyword list, the program sends a request to central servers to retrieve and display advertisements. Some pop-up advertisements may display “180Search Assistant” or “Zango Search Assistant” in the title bar. According to the license agreement, more pop-up advertisements are displayed as you spend more time browsing the Web.
180Solutions.SearchAssistant monitors your browsing activities, records your IP address, and assigns a unique user identification number to your computer. Program updates are automatically downloaded from central servers. The 180Solutions.SearchAssistant keyword list may be as large as 9 MB; when your computer is downloading the keyword list, your Internet connection may seem slower than usual.
You can uninstall 180Solutions.SearchAssistant using the uninstall tool on the SearchAssistant Web site or using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. If you uninstall 180Solutions.SearchAssistant from your computer, the program that it came with will no longer run. If you click the Cancel or Close button during the uninstall procedure when using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel, the uninstaller entry in Add or Remove Program will appear but stop working.
