Summary
WebHancer is a Browser Helper Object (BHO) that integrates with Internet Explorer and as a Winsock layered service provider (LSP). WebHancer software may collect data about user Web-browsing activity and send the data to WebHancer servers. Attempting to remove WebHancer manually is not recommended, as improper removal of an LSP can subsequently prevent the computer from connecting to the Internet.

You can uninstall WebHancer using the 'webHancer Customer Companion' uninstaller listed in Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel. If you do not wish to use the uninstaller, you may also use Microsoft Windows Defender or another up-to-date scanning and removal tool to automate the removal of WebHancer from your computer.
