Erbud Group is the largest construction company in Poland, with subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. Led by a profound commitment to its values—responsibility, innovation, security, and partnership—the organization decided that it needed to optimize its processes to successfully deliver better projects and services. To do that, Erbud Group made a bold move to adopt cloud solutions and simultaneously deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 in all its six entities. Since this major effort, the company has gained 100 percent control over its building sites at all times and can manage projects faster at every stage of the construction process.
Founded in 1990, Erbud Group is a construction company active in multiple segments, from building construction, road engineering, and industrial construction to engineering and maintenance services for the power industry. As the organization had various enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems across its entities, there was a lack of coherence in processes and data structure, which complicated decision-making.
“We have many construction sites, as many as 50 every year and that’s only in Poland. Each of our projects has the complexity of a small company to run, and sending papers from one location to another became a hassle,” says Tomasz Stryjewski, President of Erbud Shared Services. “There are a lot of variables: management, time, budget, quality, safety. All these aspects must be taken care of by just a handful of people. Moreover, we sometimes transfer managers quickly from one contract to another, and we need to update the paperwork fast,” explains Łukasz Skowroński, Director of IT at Erbud Shared Services.
“With Dynamics 365, we can manage and control our projects at every stage, and decision-making becomes fast and efficient.”

Gaining more control with the cloud
Erbud Group decided to go through a complete digital transformation by moving its workflows to the cloud. “We chose Dynamics 365 as our cloud solution as it met all our requirements in terms of efficiency and costs while guaranteeing the shortest possible implementation time,” says Stryjewski. The company was also aided by the implementation partner and by Microsoft FastTrack, a service that helps customer onboard cloud solutions and encourage user adoption. “People from FastTrack helped us from the implementation process up to go live. They also gave us technical support for the next two months,” continues Stryjewski.
Erbud Group adopted Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Project Operations in all six entities at once. “Thanks to the scalability of Dynamics 365, we could implement the new ERP system quickly. We now have about 500 users across the board,” says Skowroński.
The company created a shared service center to bring all its business processes together in one place. “With Dynamics 365, we can manage and control our projects at every stage, and decision-making becomes fast and efficient,” says Stryjewski. “Being able to analyze data quickly enables us to respond to changing conditions, such as COVID-19 cases or lockdowns. We can also manage our projects on construction sites while considering the varying prices of materials such as steel, concrete and wood, which is crucial if we want to stay profitable in long-term projects.”
More to discover
Moving forward, Erbud Group is considering expanding its digital horizon. “We would like to employ the potential that Dynamics 365 offers in new areas, as well as extend our cooperation with Microsoft by developing applications with Power Apps,” concludes Stryjewski.
