With a global network in North America, Europe, Japan, and Taiwan, starting in the US in 2000, NCSOFT has been working tirelessly based on the motto "a new world connected through joy.” NCSOFT expects to reduce costs and improve business efficiency simultaneously through license management with Zen-Portal based on Microsoft Teams.
As the long-time business adage, "no one can be great alone," suggests, even successful companies today would never have been in their current position without the help of a good partner. This is well understood by NCSOFT, a leading gaming company in South Korea, spurring global growth with sales exceeding KRW 2.5 trillion in 2022.
The gaming industry is a field that changes faster than any other industry, requires prompt feedback, and is fiercely competitive.
Accordingly, NCSOFT's developers are always busy, meeting the high expectations and needs of global gamers within a given timeline and with limited resources, and driving trends at the forefront of innovation. Therefore, a partner’s ability to proactively identify customer needs and present customized solutions that fit the culture of NCSOFT and the Korean business culture are essential for NCSOFT to consider.
"We appreciate Microsoft's ability to deliver world-class competitiveness and insights, from solutions like Azure Cloud and Microsoft 365 to innovations in business culture for AI and modern workplaces, and we would like to work more closely with Microsoft,” said a statement from the NCSOFT Procurement Department. “Zenith & Company is a trusted partner with expertise in a wide range of products and a strong understanding of the gaming industry as a partner of Microsoft. What was particularly impressive was that Zenith & Company first identifies and quickly reflects the needs of users and provides suitable solutions to the company in a timely manner as demonstrated with Zen-Portal. The gaming industry has unique characteristics of its own. By understanding them and working together, we were able to quickly introduce solutions."
NCSOFT expects to reduce costs and improve business efficiency simultaneously through license management with Zen-Portal based on Microsoft Teams
As NCSOFT pursues deeper globalization in a rapidly changing competitive environment following the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an internal need to manage licenses more efficiently as opposed to manual management. Having worked with NCSOFT since 2009, and strengthened its development service capabilities, Zenith & Company was able to identify these needs through close communication and proactively presented Zen-Portal deployment based on Microsoft Teams as a solution.
Zen-Portal is a Microsoft 365 customer-specific license management service developed by Zenith & Company. In Korea, many customers form one tenant with multiple affiliates and subsidiaries or international corporations. Zen-Portal, which is based on Microsoft Teams, allows customers to manage licenses by corporation within a single tenant with more detail and accuracy. Also, it is available as an in-app service on Teams, so license managers can leverage it from the management menu on Teams without having to access a separate management screen, providing increased accessibility.
NCSOFT considers Zen-Portal to be a solution that directly answers the question of whether the company's resources are being used efficiently and effectively in a global environment. As the platform provides features that are necessary to an administrator who wants to manage licenses efficiently, the company expects to reduce costs significantly and satisfactorily.
A leading Microsoft licensing solution provider (LSP) in South Korea, Zenith & Company is a cloud specialist recognized by many customers for its strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure, as well as its superior technical experts and strong services. The Zen-Portal deployment project, which was completed only in two months from proposal to deployment, was a moment when Zenith & Company truly demonstrated its development capability. Zenith & Company, which has been experiencing explosive growth with sales of KRW 229 billion in 2020, has recently emerged as a notable company in both quality and quantity. For example, it received the Top Partner for Modern Work Award at the Korea Partner Award 2023 from Microsoft Korea.
Microsoft and Zenith & Company will spare no effort in supporting NCSOFT to make greater leaps on the world stage
The support of Microsoft and Zenith & Company is essential for NCSOFT as it is expanding its global network across Europe, the US, and Asia through collaboration and competition with more than 3,000 talented people since its establishment in 1997. NCSOFT has been a partner of Zenith & Company since the company's early years and supporting NCSOFT in its global expansion is one of the most important goals of Zenith & Company. Microsoft and Zenith & Company will continue to support NCSOFT in its endeavor to go beyond physical space-time constraints and tackle infinite possibilities where everyone is connected through joy.
"NCSOFT will continue to review and leverage the various features Microsoft 365 offers and plans to sophisticate and improve the Microsoft 365 environment that is currently deployed,” reads a statement from NCSOFT’s IT Infrastructure Department. “We're also testing the adoption of different Azure capabilities with the introduction of a multi-cloud strategy. We look forward to further collaboration and support from Microsoft, including more flexible pricing, and as it has done so far, we expect that Zenith & Company will recommend and advise on good Microsoft features that have been customized to our company."
“We are always committed to identifying our customers' needs proactively so that we can deliver customized services tailored to each customer. That's why I'm very proud that the Zen-Portal management service is improving NCSOFT's work efficiency and reducing inconvenience. We will continue to actively propose many solutions that will benefit NCSOFT and strive to ensure that more customers experience the convenience and efficiency of Microsoft Teams and Zen-Portal.”
