Get ready for the new Azure business experience in CSP

We are driving a new business experience through the CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) program for Azure offers, bringing you a great opportunity to grow your business in the cloud.

This new commercial platform will have benefits for both your clients and you, improving the business ecosystem as a whole:

  • Azure purchasing processes simplified with Azure Plan.
  • Better price alignment through the different channels.
  • Based on customer and partner feedback, the new Azure experience in the CSP program will use a single list price, providing global pricing consistency.
  • Reduced purchase obstacles for customers, with tools designed for a seamless migration to the CSP program experience.
  • Azure Lighthouse and Azure Cost Management, tools designed for more efficient account and customer management.
  • Expanded access to the Azure Marketplace.

PHASE 2 - FEBRUARY 1, 2022
Removal of partner margins and incentives in the previous Azure offering

Beginning on this date, Microsoft will eliminate the margins and incentives available to partners that market Azure in the pre-CSP offering. In addition to this change, the price of the previous Azure offering in CSP will be equal to the Azure Retail (ERP) Estimated Price.

In the new Azure offer within the CSP program (Azure Plan), you will still be eligible to obtain Partner Earned Credit. In turn, if you are a partner listed in Microsoft Commerce Incentives (MCI), you will continue to be eligible for incentives related to the new Azure offer (Azure Plan) in CSP.

On the other hand, if you have a Silver competency in the cloud, you will be eligible for additional incentives related to the new Azure offer in the CSP program from October 2021.

SCENARIOS FOR PARTNERS IN PHASE 2

In summary, the margins and incentives associated with the previous Azure offer will be eliminated, but you will still be eligible for incentives or Partner Earned Credit if you have migrated to the new Azure offer through the CSP program.
