Two ecologically conscious girls trick their slacker SoCal dude boyfriends into driving into the Arizona desert to clean up waste on Earth Day. The foursome ducks into what appears to be the opening of an ultramodern shopping mall, but discover that they've compromised an experimental environmentally controlled scientific community called Bio-Dome. Worse yet, they are sealed in for a solid year...and soon discover that a life without pollutants means a life without MTV, cigarettes and fast-food.
