Bing Maps Keys

Getting started with Bing Maps is simple.

All you need to start building with Bing Maps API is a Microsoft account. Once you’re logged in, you’ll be able to easily create a Bing Maps API key and power your app with geospatial data. To create a key, follow the steps below:

Head to the Bing Maps Dev Center and click “Sign In” to use your existing Microsoft Account to generate an API key. Don’t have a Microsoft account? Hit “Create one!” and hop in: it takes seconds to get started on new apps with our map API keys.

Step 2

Go to “My Account” and click on “My Keys.”

Step 3

Fill out the form and click “Create” and get your API key details.

Public and private Windows App, Education and Non-profit: Maximum 50,000 cumulative billable transactions within any 24-hour period


  • Development/Testing

Applications used by authenticated enterprise users (employees or agents of the enterprise) over a private network.

Maximum 125,000 cumulative billable transactions per calendar year at no charge.
