I am a Principal Program Manager within Microsoft Health Futures. Our Biomedical Computing Team is striving to make the promise of genomic medicine a reality with a focus on developing cloud native tools and improving information gained with sequencing technologies starting with rare disease diagnostics. We are working in collaboration with the Broad Institute (opens in new tab). Previously, as part of the Medical Devices Group we explored physiological sensing technologies which could help us eliminate cardiovascular surprises.

As a veteran of small start-up companies and large multinational companies, I bring a diverse set of business experiences and technical knowledge to the table. My recently held positions include Vice President of Engineering at Impinj, a manufacturer of RFID devices and software, VP of Engineering at SNUPI Technologies, an early-stage start-up that developed smart home sensing and moisture detection technology for the consumer electronics market, and President of R2P Solutions, my consulting company which helped organizations develop solutions that enabled their product, technology, or business concept to become a reality.

I attended the University of Iowa to complete my BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. While an undergrad I fell in love with semiconductor device physics (who wouldn’t, right?) and ended up getting my PhD in EE at Lehigh University. Even though my degree was in engineering, I am basically a closet physicist. In my research, I developed methods to characterize near-interface oxide traps and understand the impact of reliability of semiconductor devices.
