The Microsoft Workplace Discount Program allows employees at eligible companies to buy an annual subscription of Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Personal at a discount for use on personal devices.

The Microsoft Home Use Program (also known as HUP) is now the Microsoft Workplace Discount Program. Any previously purchased discounted products are not affected by the change in the program name. You’ll continue to receive discounted rates on qualified subscriptions if you keep auto-renewal turned on.

Yes. Enter your corporate email on the Microsoft Workplace Discount Program page to see if you qualify. If you don’t have a corporate email, please contact your IT department for questions about eligibility.

- Sign Up: Visit the Microsoft Workplace Discount Program page. Enter your corporate email address. Click on ‘Get Started’ button.
- Confirm: If you are eligible, an email will be sent to your corporate email address inbox with a link that will validate your eligibility for the program.
- Sign In: Once your eligibility is confirmed and you register for the program with your personal Microsoft account that is associated with your personal email address, you can begin the purchase process by viewing the discounts available to you based on your Workplace Discount Program benefit eligibility.
- Shop: Your purchase is processed and completed in the Microsoft Store. You, the eligible employee, can install Microsoft 365 on your personal devices after the purchase is complete. Once you have purchased Microsoft 365 Family, you can share your subscription with up to 5 additional members of your household.
- Sign Up: Visit the Microsoft Workplace Discount Program page. Enter your corporate email address. Click on ‘Get Started’ button.

Yes. If you already have Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Personal, you can still take advantage of this discount. Once you purchase, additional time is added to your existing subscription, and the discounted rate will begin at your existing subscription’s annual renewal date. Be sure to specify the Microsoft account that’s associated with your current Microsoft 365 subscription during the purchase process.

Workplace Discount Program discounts on Visio Professional 2024 and Project Professional 2024 are only available if your employer's Workplace Discount Program administrator has selected you for one or more product specific discounts.
Please make sure you are signed in to the Microsoft Store with your personal account associated with the Workplace Discount Program in order to view the discounted price of the products.If you expected to see a discount on these products please contact your organization’s Workplace Discount Program benefit administrator. Typically, the Workplace Discount Program is managed by your organization’s benefits coordinator, HR or IT departments.

Discounts on Microsoft 365 Family and Personal subscriptions are offered to eligible companies worldwide with these exceptions:
- Macao, Russia, and Venezuela: this offer will not be available in these markets.
- China and Hong Kong: a 1-year subscription is available in these markets. For China, visit the China Workplace Discount Program site. For Hong Kong, visit the Hong Kong Workplace Discount Program site.

Product licenses

If you have a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, you can share it with up to five additional members of your household (up to 6 users total). Each household member can install across their devices including PCs, Macs, iPads, Android tablets, Windows tablets, iPhones, or Android phones, get an additional 1 TB of OneDrive storage, and manage their own installs from their Microsoft account.

No. The Microsoft 365 license assigned to you by your employer is for your use only. This applies whether you access Microsoft 365 from a device at your home or a device provided by your employer. Whereas if you purchase Microsoft 365 Family through the Workplace Discount Program, it can be used by your family.

Microsoft 365 Family subscriptions may be shared with up to 5 people. Microsoft 365 Personal may only be used by the employee.

Yes, if you have already purchased Office Professional Plus or Office Home & Business at a discount through the Workplace Discount Program you will still be eligible for the Microsoft 365 Workplace Discount Program offer.

If you previously purchased Office, Visio, or Project, please go to the Order History page to have your product key(s) emailed to you. To do so, you will need to have access to the email address you used to make the purchase.
Download and manage your subscription

Always use your Microsoft account to install Microsoft 365, manage your subscription, and sign into Microsoft 365 on your personal devices. Your Microsoft account is your personal email address, not your corporate email address. If you do not have a personal Microsoft account visit the Microsoft account page to set one up.

No. Please use your Microsoft account to install and sign into Microsoft 365 and to manage your subscription.

To share your subscription, sign in by using your Microsoft account on the Services & Subscriptions page and select the link labeled “Sharing.” Follow the onscreen instructions to add a user. Each person you add receives an email with steps they need to follow. After they have completed the steps, their information, including their Microsoft 365 installs, appears on your Sharing page. To manage your billing information, install Microsoft 365 from additional PCs or Macs, and manage your installs of Microsoft 365 on other devices, go to the Services & Subscriptions page and sign in using your Microsoft account.
Pricing and Renewals

When you start your Microsoft 365 subscription, recurring billing is already on, and we will bill you automatically until cancelled. If you cancel or turn off recurring billing, you can renew your subscription on the Microsoft 365 Renewal page. You can check your renewal status on the Services & Subscriptions page. You will receive the same Workplace Discount Program discount rate as your original purchase for as long as you maintain recurring billing on your subscription.

You can change or update your payment method associated with your subscription on the Services & Subscriptions page. Find your Microsoft 365 subscription in the list, and then click on the “Manage” link. Then click on the “Change how you pay” link.

You can update your credit card associated with your subscription on the Services & Subscriptions page. Find your Microsoft 365 subscription in the list. You should see a message in red that your credit card needs attention. Click on the “Fix how you pay” link to update your expired credit card.

You will receive the same Workplace Discount Program discount rate as your original purchase for as long as you maintain recurring billing on your subscription.

You can buy one subscription of either Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Personal at the Workplace Discount Program reduced price.

If you have Microsoft 365 through the Workplace Discount Program, the discount continues to apply as long as you maintain recurring billing on your subscription.
