A study by IFC, International Finance Corporation World Bank Group (found here) is breaking new ground on the implications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Sub Saharan Africa’s future workforce. The study provides an estimate of the market size and offers practical solutions for digital skills in Sub Saharan Africa.

Microsoft 4Afrika was featured as one of the eight case studies of innovative initiatives in digital skilling, from Africa and globally.

According to the same report, there will be an estimated 230 million 'digital' jobs in Sub Saharan Africa by 2030. This clearly indicates a drastic shift in the skill set needed to accommodate this revolution. As for Microsoft 4Afrika, we see digital skills as not only a business opportunity but also a chance to reconceive the future of work across the continent.
