Adrian Travis
Senior Researcher (Alum)
Adrian Travis is researcher in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG), where he works on the development of displays and sensors for human-computer interfaces.
Before joining Microsoft he lectured at Cambridge University in the Engineering Department, where he was a member of the Photonics and Sensors Group. Travis pioneered wedge optics and has extensive experience of 3D displays. He remains a Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge, where he was the dean of students.
In 2008 Adrian was awarded the Royal Academy of Engineering’s silver medal.
