Ahmet Bulut
Research Intern (2019)
Ahmet Bulut is a 2019 research internin the Applied Sciences Group (ASG).
He received his B.S. degree in mathematics from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2009, and his M.S. in computer science and engineering from Sabanci University, also in Istanbul, in 2014. He previously worked as a research scientist at the Speech and Natural Language Processing Laboratory of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey from 2012 to 2016. In 2017 Ahmet joined the Center for Robust Speech Systems (CRSS) laboratory at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Dr. John Hansen. In 2018 he interned at the Bosch Research and Technology Center’s Human–Machine Interaction Lab.
His main research interests include recognition of languages, dialects, and accents, as well as speaker identification and diarization.
Ahmet enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and nature treks.
