Vasily Zadorozhnyy

Vasily Zadorozhnyy is a 2022 research intern in the Applied Sciences Group (ASG) at Microsoft where he is working on unsupervised speech enhancement and noise-suppression models.  Vasily focusses on improving unsupervised speech-enhancement models with the goal of developing a model which can be used in future Microsoft products.

He is a fifth-year Ph.D. student in mathematics at the University of Kentucky. His research interests include unsupervised learning, particularly generative adversarial nets (GANs), as well as natural language processing (NLP) models with applications to drug discoveries.

In his spare time, Vasily enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks with his wife, and watching TV.
